Sponsor Terms
Effective: October 23, 2026
These terms apply when you buy a sponsorship on Wild Lots (getwildlots.com and its newsletter). Wild Lots is a property of Tall Oaks Ventures, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us"). "You" means the person or business buying the sponsorship. Our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy also apply.
Questions: hello@getwildlots.com.
What you're buying
A sponsorship is a time-limited, clearly labeled placement of your ad. Your ad is your business name, logo, a short line (up to 40 characters), and a link. Packages:
- Weekly Sponsor (7 days, Tuesday through Monday, US Eastern): your name and line in the top bar of every page; a "Presented by" sponsor card on the home page, and on lot pages and category pages that don't have their own Category Sponsor; and the sponsor block in that Tuesday's newsletter issue (sent at 7:00 AM ET).
- Category Sponsor (4 weeks, Tuesday through the fourth Monday): a sponsor card on every lot page in one category you pick and on that category's first page. Not in the top bar.
- Founding Sponsor (28 days, starting on a Tuesday): everything in Weekly for four weeks in a row, one sponsored post on our X account that starts with "#ad" and names you (we may also use X's paid-partnership label), and your logo on our About page.
There is one sponsor per slot for the period your booking covers (one Weekly sponsor per week, one sponsor per category at a time).
Your booking confirmation sets out your package, dates, and price. If it differs from the package summary above or our sponsor page, the confirmation wins for those details. Everything else (approval, content rules, refunds, liability, governing law) is governed by these Sponsor Terms. If a confirmation has an obvious error, like a wrong price or date, we'll correct it, and if you don't accept the correction you get a full refund.
Labeling and independence
Every placement is labeled "Sponsored." Our own promos for open slots are labeled "House ad," not "Sponsored." Sponsors never affect which lots we feature or how we rank them.
Booking and payment
You pick a package and start week, then pay through Stripe Checkout. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. To check out, you must tick a box agreeing to these Sponsor Terms; we record your acceptance on your booking. Stripe processes all payments; we never see or store your full card number.
Ad content rules
Your ad must be:
- accurate and not misleading: no false claims, fake urgency, or get-rich-quick promises;
- lawful: your ad and the page it links to must follow the law, including advertising and consumer-protection rules;
- appropriate: no hate or harassment;
- yours to use: you must own or have permission to use your logo, name, text, and anything else you send;
- free of implied government ties: no claims or images suggesting you're affiliated with or endorsed by a government agency or auction site, and no government seals or logos;
- backed up: you must have proof for any objective claim (prices, savings, results, "#1," and so on);
- not in an off-limits category: adult content; gambling; tobacco, vaping, or cannabis; firearms and ammunition; crypto or other investment schemes; multi-level marketing; political or issue ads; health or weight-loss claims; anything illegal. We may update this list; changes don't affect ads already approved.
Your landing page must match your ad and carry any disclosures the law requires. If you change the landing page after approval in a way that breaks these rules, we may pull the ad (see refunds).
By sending your ad, you confirm it meets these rules and let us display, resize, and format it wherever your package runs, for the period you bought. Founding Sponsor logos appear on our About page under "Founding sponsors (paid)" and stay there after the run unless you ask us to remove them.
Approval
All ads need our approval before they run. We may reject or remove any ad for any reason. If we reject or remove it, "Cancellations and refunds" below says what you get back.
Edits and the lock
You can edit your ad until your placement locks at 7:00 AM ET on the Sunday before your sponsored period starts (48 hours before that Tuesday's newsletter issue). For multi-week packages, the lock is the Sunday before the first week.
- After the lock, your ad is read-only and runs as approved.
- Any edit after approval puts your ad back to pending until we re-approve it. If an edit isn't approved before the lock, we run the last approved version.
Cancellations and refunds
- You cancel before the lock (7:00 AM ET on the Sunday before your start): full refund. Email hello@getwildlots.com from the address you booked with.
- We reject your ad: full refund. If we approved an earlier version, we may run that version instead, and no refund is due.
- Your slot was taken before your payment went through: full refund, automatically.
- You cancel after the lock, or don't send an ad we can approve by the lock: no refund.
- We fail to run your ad, or pull it for our own reasons (including if we change our minds about an ad we approved): we refund the part we didn't deliver. Site placements are refunded by the day; a day counts as missed if your ad was down for 4 hours or more of it. If your week's newsletter issue goes out without your sponsor block, we also refund 25% of that week's Weekly price. If a Founding Sponsor X post isn't published, we refund $50 of the Founding price for the missed post.
- We pull your ad because of something on your side (your ad or landing page breaks the content rules, including changes made after approval, or the information you gave us was false): no refund.
- If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may pause your ad while the dispute is open.
Whenever a refund is due because we didn't run your ad as booked, you can choose to move your booking to a later open week instead.
These refunds are your only remedy if your ad doesn't run as booked. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
Click reports
After each week your ad runs, we email a short click report. Clicks are counted by our own tracked links when someone follows your ad. We filter out obvious bots, link previews, and repeat clicks from the same visitor within 30 minutes. Click counts are estimates. They won't exactly match your own analytics. Your link gets utm_source=wildlots so you can find this traffic in your own tools.
No guaranteed results
We don't guarantee any number of views, clicks, sales, signups, or other results. Audience and traffic vary week to week.
Your responsibility
You're responsible for your ad, your link and landing page, and your products, services, and offers. You'll defend and indemnify Tall Oaks Ventures, LLC and its owners and contractors against any third-party claim, and pay the resulting damages, settlements, and reasonable legal fees, to the extent the claim arises from your ad or landing page, your products or offers, your breach of these terms, or your materials infringing someone's rights. This doesn't cover claims caused by changes we made to your ad. We'll tell you promptly about any claim, let you control the defense with counsel reasonably acceptable to us, and not settle it in a way that binds you without your consent.
Limits on our liability
Sponsorships are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (like lost profits or lost sales), and our total liability for any claim about a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. The refunds described above are your only remedy if your ad doesn't run as booked. These limits don't apply to your obligations under "Your responsibility" or to infringement of the other's rights, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled only in the state courts in Palm Beach County, Florida, or the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
JURY WAIVER: YOU AND WE EACH KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY DISPUTE ABOUT THESE TERMS OR A SPONSORSHIP.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you book applies to that booking.
